Shop progress
Posted by Jammer
So here's a quick mock-up of what my shop might look like. Of course, I am considering awnings, and the blinds will be open, allowing a good view inside. Also, there'll be a 32-inch LCD TV in the window, displaying dynamic content, with what's in the store, et cetera.
I'll also have some sort of description outside of what's in the store. I haven't decided on what exactly I want to say, but I want to have something like "Comics, News, Fun and Nostalgia" or individually "Comics", "Newsstand", "Toys" and "Games".
Part of my plan is to have a "Liberal Newsstand" where I'll carry my favorite news and tech magazines (The Nation, In These Times, Atlantic Monthly, Harpers, Technology Review, Scientific American, Discover, Reason, MacLife), sci-fi and comics mags, and as many design and architecture magazines as I can get (especially the big expensive ones I usually don't buy, but look at in the store), as well as local zines, et cetera. Since they're returnable, there's not much of a risk.
Anyway, enough of the digression. Here are some more pictures of the progress. Notice the big piles of itchy cotton candy. It must be old; it didn't taste very good.
As Max said, "You made a big mess, Daddy!"
